My name is Paula Allocca and I have a passion for mental health care and functional medicine. I like to say I provide mental health care "with a twist." What's the twist? It's using a Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual lens to understand the whole person. It is also the ability to use a variety of mental health skills to address mental health symptoms from a whole/mind-body perspective instead of relying on just one tool. I can also integrate functional medicine strategies to fully address brain-gut health or other underlying pathophysiologic issues. I first learned of functional medicine when my daughter was suffering from autoimmune conditions. We found that integrating her medicine with various diets and supplements improved her health greatly. Since I have learned about functional medicine I have added it as a treatment approach along with cognitive therapy and medication management to help others. Let's start your journey!
